On December 2nd 2018 was HelpOuts second visit to Ladiwali, Karjat.
Now that there was a chill in the air, we decided to use our hard earned funds from the housie, basketball, and football events to buy sweaters and for the underprivileged in the small village. Located on the outskirts of Mumbai and in Karjat, the people living in Ladiwali didn’t have enough layers to keep them warm. At around 11 am we distributed the sweaters to not only the adults but the kids as well. We also handed out scarves and Parle G biscuits. We were interviewed by a few local news papers and news channels about our previous events. All in all it was not only an enjoyable experience, but it taught us to be grateful for what we had, since the villagers couldn’t even afford thin sweaters to keep them warm in the winter.
